Revised 11/14/06
Make sure the mailbox slots for each team member are current and clearly labeled. This is the only way that we are assured that each athlete is getting all communications. A copy of each handout will be posted on the Booster Club Bulletin Board if any parent is looking for additional copies.
Try to attend all booster club meetings. Keep your team level parents updated on all Booster Club events, news, etc. either by a note placed in their mailboxes, email, phone calls or meetings.
Communicate with Sport Representatives. Make sure team parents are up to date on team events, schedules, etc. Attend Coach/Parent Kick-off meetings at the beginning of each year.
When fundraisers are occurring, make sure your parents have all pertinent information, order forms and deadlines. Communicate with team parents to promote involvement and encourage participation.
Be able to answer questions about how the Booster Club operates.
Make sure that each team family receives a copy of the Booster Club statement. Please see the Booster Club Treasurer if you or your parents need a copy or there are questions.
Please make sure that any new team members joining during the middle of the season are greeted and introduced to the rest of your team parents, the booster club board, coaches, etc. Review the athlete mailboxes and add their name to the mailbox slots. Review the location and purpose of the Booster Club Bulletin board, obtain a copy of the Booster Club Folder and review the goals and objectives.
Encourage coaches to post team scores, highlights, photos, etc to designated team bulletin boards.
